COVID-19 Changes & Customer Feedback Survey Results

Jul. 7 2020 News By Pro Cycle Team

As you're probably aware, there has been a lot of buzz this week about the recent decline in active cases of COVID-19 and the loosening of some restrictions by our Government and health officials. While this is exciting and makes us feel hopeful for the coming months, it is important to stay informed and aware, so that we can keep our community moving in the right direction.

On March 22, 2020 the Province of Nova Scotia declared a state of emergency to help contain the spread of COVID-19. The state of emergency has been extended until noon on July 12, 2020.

Under the state of emergency, police are authorized to enforce orders under the Health Protection Act. If Nova Scotians, businesses and organizations do not practise social distancing and self-isolation, they will face fines of $1,000 for individuals and $7,500 for businesses and organizations. Multiple fines can be given each day an individual, business or organization fails to comply.

HERE ARE A FEW KEY POINTS FROM OUR RECENT CUSTOMER FEEDBACK SURVEY:

This week, we made a few minor changes to our in-store procedures that we're hoping will have a big impact on your shopping experience, but we need your cooperation.

For the health and safety of our customers and staff, we ask that you please read & respect the following, while shopping at Pro Cycle:

  • A maximum of 25 customers will be permitted in the store at a time.
  • For customers who prefer it, Contactless Order Pickup will still be available for the foreseeable future.
  • The Apparel Department is OPEN in a limited capacity. Yes, you can try things on and browse our selection of street and off-road riding gear once again - but please understand that to ensure proper social distancing is being practiced, we will be limiting the number of customers in those areas. In some cases (like a busy Saturday afternoon, for example) this could mean asking you to wait in line before entering the department.
  • Please practice social distancing with our staff and your fellow customers. Maintain a distance of 6 feet/2 metres between yourself and others at all times (about the length of a motorcycle).
  • Stay aware of your surroundings. It’s easy to miss signs and directions when you’re surrounded by shiny things! Please carefully read the signs, listen to directions, and give everyone lots of space.
  • Please, DO NOT touch products, try on helmets, or sit on motorcycles/ATVs/SxS without speaking to a staff member first. Surfaces such as these will need to be cleaned between customers.
  • Choose kindness. Disrespectful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate language and behaviour will not be tolerated. We're in this together.
  • If you require any assistance, please let us know. We’re here to help!

Thank you for your continued support.
